Our Gaylord Texan Christmas 2018

November 19, 2018 Kim 1 Comment

It’s always nice to get invited to a spectacular event close to home. This year, like previous years, my family and I were invited by the Gaylord Texan to a Blogger Brunch, ICE, and Snow Tubing. They also offered us a reduced media rate to stay at the hotel. Not all bloggers do this, but like last year, we took advantage of the special and stayed the night. We went a little early this year to enjoy our Gaylord Texan Christmas 2018, and early enough to share our fun with you all.

Our Gaylord Texan Christmas 2018

This year I invited my niece Kirsi and my great-nephew Kai. We love getting our boys together when we can. They don’t get to see each other as often as we’d like, so time away from Kai’s sister’s his always fun for him. Also, if you’re looking for the 40% off promo code that I’ve been sharing with my readers, it’s down a bit. And don’t worry, there’s still plenty of days left to use it.

Our Family Gaylord Texan Christmas 2018

We arrived on Friday afternoon too early to check in so we left our luggage at the bell desk and off we went to explore. You can certainly be entertained in the atrium during Christmas at the Gaylord. The boys, especially Kai, since it was his very first time to go, loved the train going around the atrium. We saw everything twice, maybe four times, and never once did we nor the boys get bored. No way!

The carolers were out singing and chatting to the audience. They can really put on a great show darling show. There’s really so much to see and do. I couldn’t possibly share everything with you that we did…or I’d be here all day and this post would be terribly long. You just need to go to see and do for yourself. Grab the coupon below.

After getting settled in our room, we had dinner at the Texan Sports Bar, then went back up to our room so the boys could change into the matching PJs that I bought them. Then off we went to take pictures.

Christmas at Gaylord Texan

There are so many family activities to do here. We did a lot last year, so this year I tried to choose different activities to do. But there’s one activity that I just love, and that’s Build-A-Bear. I think, no, I know I love stuffed animals as much as my son does. So, no doubt we let the boys pick out an animal to stuff and love. Kai picked a dinosaur and Brody chose Eevee and named her/him Bob!

When it comes to the Lone Star Christmas ICE, the Gaylord Texan sure knows how to put on a show. Last year was hard to beat, but Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer is a sight to see. Who doesn’t like that red nose!!

Something new this year is the Christmas Carousel, so of course, we had to do that too.

Sorry, the video didn’t come out well, but the boys enjoyed it and I wanted to share especially because it’s something new this year. The carousel is located next to the snow tubing lanes. Be sure to get your tickets at the box office before you go in.

You’re not too late, there’s still time to use my exclusive Gaylord Texan Lone Star ICE 2018 Coupon – Promo Code GREEN.

Days left to use the Gaylord Texan Christmas ICE 2018 coupon are 11/19 – 11/20 and 11/26 – 11/29 and  12/3 – 12/6. Not valid with any other discounts or offers. You must purchase tickets online at http://christmasatgaylordtexan.com. Enter promo code: GREEN

Please don’t keep this coupon to yourself. Spread it around to your family and friends. They’ll appreciate it.

Christmas at Gaylord Texan begins November 9, 2018, and runs through January 1, 2019.
