Meet Kim
Travel writer and road trip enthusiast of My Traveling Roads, freelance writer for TravelAwaits, and owner of Texas Travel Talk, Kim Croisant, is a proud native Texan who is passionate about seeing the world any way she can, but her favorite is road-tripping. Her travels include many road trips in Texas and beyond.
When Kim’s not writing, she is hiking in nature and camping in the woods in a cabin full of amenities.
Her favorite outdoor activities are kayaking, ziplining, hiking, and horseback riding. She scours the neighborhood for those activities wherever she roams.
Kim and her husband raise their grandson, and Kim takes him on as many trips as possible. When she’s feeling the love, she lets her darling 84-year-old mother come along, but her favorite way to travel is solo. If possible, she’ll take her 2 Yorkie/Shiz Tzu mix doggies on road trips.

Meet Kim and Her Family
Brody and his mom do many fun things together. They love the outdoors, especially hiking on nature trails. Finding new adventures and great places to travel to is what they’re great at. This kid certainly keeps her young! One of their favorite places to go is anywhere there’s a Getaway Tiny Cabin.

The FAMILY
They are Tracy and Kim Croisant and their little booger, Brody. Raising Brody has been the best thing that has happened to all of them. Tracy and Kim are Mom and Dad to him and say that he is growing up so fast and has a mind of his own.
Her Husband
Tracy is Kim’s husband of 19 years and is an outdoor man who loves hunting, fishing, and golf. To be completely honest, he is still trying to figure out what blogging is all about, but he’s got the “best dad” thing down. Tracy is an excellent cook and is the cook of the family. He always puts his family first and is Brody’s hero. He keeps the family intact and wins the Best Dad Award daily.
Their grandSON Brody
On January 6th of each year, Kim and Tracy celebrate the pleasure of another year of raising their grandson. He is now a very healthy 13-year-old and is growing up so fast. Brody is all smiles and a very energetic boy. “When I grow up,” he says, “I want to be just like my dad AND a dog trainer.” Brody and his mom do many local activities together – sponsored and non-sponsored. They love traveling, spending time with their dogs, and doing fun outdoors. Hiking together is their thing!
Family Dogs
Someday “Jett Black” Vermejo, aka Jett or Jett Jett
Jett is a beautiful black Lab. He loves the water, his family, and, most of all, eating. He grew so fast in the first year that they hardly got to see him as a cute little puppy. A typical Lab puppy, Jett is loving, loves attention, and needs a lot of care and feeding. He inspired Kim to write this New Puppy Handbook, full of hints for anyone adding a new dog to the family.
Cissy & Cody
Meet their rescue dogs, Cissy and Cody – sister & brother, part Yorkie, part Shih Tzu. Tracy and Kim adopted them about 8 years ago, and so glad they adopted both.
