Things To Do At Grandscape Texas

December 16, 2021 Kim Leave a Comment

Things to do at Grandscape

Everyone will have plenty of things to do at Grandscape in The Colony!

Things to do at Grandscape include fast race cars, dinosaurs, a giant Ferris wheel, eating, and shopping, to name a few. Who doesn’t love that? The Grandscape shopping center smacks dab in the middle of North Texas, with lush landscaping, family-friendly experiences, and various entertainment options that should be your must-do before year-end!

And, there’s more – the first-class attraction offers an open-air environment and live entertainment with surround sound on the lawn, a winery, innovative retail stores, world-class restaurants, and everything within walking distance from the parking lot.

I can not wait to see what other attractions will be built out there—look for future phases of this project.

Fun Things To Do At Grandscape In The Colony

Attractions At Grandscape

Some of the best things to do in The Colony are found at Grandscape. It’s a premier entertainment district in North Texas that offers family-friendly attractions, great restaurants, gift shops, locally-owned boutiques, and large retail stores. But that’s not all – the Grandscape Wheel is its latest attraction. I took my son and two of his friends last month, and we enjoyed only a tiny bit of the attractions out there. We would have stayed longer, but the night ended before we had the chance.

Things to do at Grandscape

Grandscape Wheel

The newest attraction at Grandscape is the 200-foot Grandscape Wheel – a colossal Ferris wheel ride with air-conditioned gondolas. If you want to impress someone on a date night, then, by all means, opt for the first-class VIP gondola complete with drinks and more.

You’ll be able to see views of The Colony and get incredible pictures from above. And, don’t forget to get a souvenir photo of your group. Closed Mon/Tues.

Jurassic World: The Exhibition (Exhibits Change Out)

If you’ve ever wondered what life-size dinosaurs look like, visit Jurassic World: The Exhibition – a one-of-a-kind exciting interactive exhibition kids and adults alike will love. Save money for a stuffed dino because your little ones will surely want one.

Editors Note: This is one exhibit that changes. Right now (2022), Marvel Avengers is the exhibit.

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is the ultimate indoor entertainment with several attractions like the super karts on a multi-level track Ferrari style seats, a virtual reality experience, a multi-level laser tag arena, and more. It offers 2 for one on Tuesdays.

Galaxy Theatres

Showing all the latest movies at Galaxy Theatres Grandscape will provide you and your family with first-class entertainment with a super sound system.

Innovative Retail At Grandscape

Scheels Outdoors

Scheels is the place for all outdoor gear, sports, and a Ferris wheel inside. Yes, your kids can ride the Ferris wheel for only one dollar. The line might be long, but leave them in line while you shop if you trust your kids. There are two floors of everything you can think of. PS. You’ll be there for a while!

Nebraska Furniture Mart

Recorded as the world’s largest retail store, Nebraska Furniture Mart undoubtedly put The Colony on the map. I can’t believe it took me this long to visit the store. I’ve heard so many great things about the store, and now I can attest that you’ve got to go to see two floors of furniture and decor. There is also a clearance section in the store’s back—a huge area.

See the bedding above? Brody liked it so well that I found it on Amazon and bought it.

Restaurants At Grandscape

Grandscape offers world-class restaurants, from chain restaurants to one-of-a-kind restaurants. Restaurants at Grandscape vary from pizza to Tex-Mex, sports bars to a winery, and everything in between – even a high-influence chocolate store!

Lava Cantina At Grandscape

Lava Cantina is a rock n’ roll-themed Creole-Mexican fusion restaurant that provides live music and a fantastic atmosphere. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the atmosphere is probably the best part about eating here.

Kilwins

Treat yourself to the “world’s best fudge” at Kilwins Grandscape. Also, a must-try is its original ice cream made right in the store.

Parry’s Pizzeria And Taphouse

Parry’s Pizzeria is where we ate. The wait time was long, so we opted for ice cream at Kilwins first, only to find the wait wasn’t as long as they said. So, with ice cream in hand, we ate pizza too!!

Truck Yard

Behind NFM, Truck Yard is an outdoor adult venue where you can listen to music while drinking your favorite beverage. Kids are welcome, but I’d leave them with grandma if possible. That way, you can have a night to yourself.

There are lots more restaurants to check out. Be sure to visit Grandscape.com before you go.
