Christmas In College Station

Bring the whole family to celebrate Christmas in College Station.

It’s Christmas in College Station once again, everyone! Updated for 2023.

College Station will once again turn into the biggest Christmas attraction in the Lone Star State with its Santa’s Wonderland magical experience. The town is gearing up for its Christmas-themed event with millions of holiday light displays that shine brightly from the highway. Here’s a list of the top things to do at Santa’s Wonderland in College Station for the whole family.

After experiencing it myself, I now see why people from everywhere trek the drive to see it all.   Santa’s Wonderland is open every day until December 30th. It’s a great place to gather the family for good old holiday cheer. Here’s a tiny glimpse of what it’s like to spend Christmas in College Station.

My son and I enjoyed a full day into the night here a few years ago and had a wonderful time. Our favorite part, which I highly recommend, is the Santa Hayride Tour. There will be long lines, but it was truly a remarkable ride through the holiday lights, listening to Christmas music the whole way. There was a lot of holiday cheer from the spectators. My next best thing was taking a picture with giant polar bear statues. I can’t count how many times I’ve shared that photo through the years – it’s my favorite of us.

It’s also the largest Christmas attraction near Houston.

A few years ago, my grandson and I spent a few days in College Station marveling over the extraordinary outdoor event – Santa’s Wonderland. We drove through the lights at Central Park, shopped at Howdy Holly-Days, and ate at Dixie Chicken. This was our first time experiencing Christmas in College Station, and it was so impressive that I’ve now deemed it my favorite small town to spend the holidays in!

George Bush Presidential Library

If there’s time during your visit, think about visiting the George Bush Presidential Library to see it decorated for Christmas. But most importantly, to see and read the stories about the wars, the great things that happened in the ’90s, the life and times of President George Bush, and the stories that will take you back a few years when presidents were nice to each other and supported one another! As he learned about that war in school, Brody was most intrigued by Pearl Harbor.
