2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country 4WD

April 19, 2015 Kim Croisant 4 Comments

Today is the day—my husband’s dream truck. Check out what he had to say about this 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country 4WD Crew Cab.

Disclosure: I was provided this 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country Truck for one week with no obligation to write a post. No other compensation was given.  All opinions are 100% my own.

This is my first vehicle loaner. I had no idea this type of program was available until I talked with a Chevy representative at the Tech & Travel Road Show put on by Girl’s Guide to Cars (formerly SheBuysCars) last month in Fort Worth. This beauty showed up in our driveway on a Thursday morning. And we had the privilege of driving it for one full week. My husband and I both drive excellent vehicles, but a change is always significant!

On day one, I drove it to take my son to school and to run errands; on days 2-7, my husband drove it…..WHAT!!! No, he did let me drive it some on the last day. But as a family, we went everywhere in this truck, and everywhere we went, we wished it was ours. With the High Country Premium Package included, this is a dream vehicle to own.

We are already Chevy owners, so no doubt we were going to love this truck. My husband will not drive anything else but a truck!! He’s thought on this Silverado was good. He says, “It’s a comfortable family truck.” His number one thought was that this Silverado truck is safe and secure for his family.

My husband’s right about feeling safe in this truck. I love all the safety features such as six airbags, large rear-view mirrors, and a rear-vision camera system. We have a long driveway that goes out to a semi-busy street, so this feature is nice to have.

When my seat started vibrating now and then, I had no idea why, so I had to call my husband to find out. I thought perhaps something was wrong with the truck. But nope, that’s the safety alert seat. It will vibrate when you are too close to the edge of the road. I got used to it after a while; then it stopped because, after a while, I was more aware of how I was driving. That’s a great safety feature, for sure.

– Overall vehicle highlights

  • Great family truck
  • A feeling of safety
  • Beautiful color inside and out – leather seats a must!
  • Good gas mileage
  • Built-in DVD (my husband said our next vehicle would have this)
  • Strong and durable
  • Hotspot
  • Onstar available
  • Rear-vision camera system
  • COMFORTABLE
  • I felt proud to drive it
  • Safety alert seat – makes me aware of our I’m driving
  • ….and all the tech stuff

So that’s my womanly highlights for the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country 4WD Crew Cab. What’s your opinion, or do you have one?

The Silverado rode like a charm, and we felt safe. The time I had it, I rode with the sunroof opened and the a/c on. It was an okay week weather-wise here in north Texas – a little rain didn’t spoil our fun. This truck is the perfect size for us three. My husband asked me if I would be willing to give up my Yukon for this truck. But I had to say, and when we pick up our grandkids for dinner or the weekend, it wouldn’t be big enough – boo!

That is a great looking truck. I love the looks of the body and I bet it was super roomy. The back up camera is a nice feature.

Wow that looks plush! I love the camera and screen. My SUV is so old I definitely don't have those kinds of awesome features.

This truck looks like a great truck! I love all the technology that is offered in the truck along with it's safety features! Those are the two biggest things that I look for when I look for a car. I bet you were tempted to keep this car 😉

We LOVE Chevy! We have always owned one and are in the process of looking at a Duramax right now. They drive nice and have all of the features that we love. The body style of the new trucks rock too! Thanks for this great review! It really helps.
