The Most Adventurous States To Visit

To start planning your trip, look at this list of some of the most adventurous states to visit.

Utah Claims To Be A Most Adventurous State

The Beehive State is widely viewed as one of the most adventurous states in the U.S. With the highest number of national parks in the country—five in total—it’s not hard to see why. When visiting the many breathtaking national parks such as Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Arches National park, explorers can engage in a wide range of adventurous activities. You’re sure to have a thrill from climbing up red rock cliffs to horseback riding through deep canyons. Those who have a passion for off-roading will also be happy to know that Utah is home to some incredible off-roading trails, such as Hell’s Revenge and Chicken Corners OHV Trail.

Montana

Home to breathtaking natural landscapes and one of the lowest population densities in the country makes Montana the perfect adventure-lovers playground. Across this state, you’ll find opportunities to engage in any outdoor adventure you can think of. Whether you like skiing, mountain biking, white water rafting, or hiking, you can do it all in the Treasure State. If you’re not looking for such a strenuous activity, simply gazing at the impressive wildlife that can be found throughout the state such as American bison, bald eagles, and black bears is an adventure all in itself.

Colorado

Another one of the most adventurous states to visit is Colorado. Like Montana, Colorado is home to the Rocky Mountains, where adventure abounds. Visitors can enjoy cliff camping, high-altitude skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. However, Colorado isn’t just home to breathtaking mountains; the Centennial State also has one of the most varied landscapes in the entire world. It provides the perfect opportunity for thrill-seeking travelers to expand their horizons and explore new terrain. You can do everything from prairie grasslands and forests to sand dunes and cliffs in Colorado.

I would also put Alaska and Hawaii on this list.
