Another road trip to add to my travels. When you meet your BFF at her camp in the outdoor fresh air in Fredericksburg, TX, you have nothing but fun and laughter….and wine!
My BFF, Dee and I have been friends since we were 13 & 14 years old. We have managed to stay in touch all these years. We were definitely part of each other’s life through thick and then. No fights, no arguments, just plain old friendship. You could say, we should have been sisters. Her mom was my second mom. I loved that lady.
Outdoor Fresh Air in Fredericksburg, TX
Dee bought some land off a beaten path just outside of the downtown area of Fredericksburg where she has set up camp near the Barons Creek. She decided to name her camp “Barons Creek Camp”. When she’s not there enjoying your time in the wide opened outdoors and fresh air, she has her place on Airbnb. Many folks have left nice comments on her Airbnb page after they have stayed there. This place is truly for the outdoors family. Look it up when you get this chance.
If you’re anything like us, you’ll love the fresh air of her camp. The kitchen is outside and where you can enjoy cooking on open fire or on the stove. I wished I could give you a tour. Let me try to find the FB Live video I did on her place. I actually did two of them. One was while I was drinking wine – oops!
The Fredericksburg Trade Days is an adventure in itself. There are lots of antiques, collectibles, primitive, shabby chic dealers, and many other types of vendors on the premises. There is food galore, too, so come hungry. Check it out on the third weekend of every month.

The best photo bomber we’ve ever had!!
Visit Fiesta Winery, shop for treasures at Trades Day, feed the camel, drive a 2018 Toyota 4Runner that was loaned to me, and walk around town pretty much sums up our weekend. We had so much fun that we truly didn’t want to come home. Who would?
If you haven’t had the chance to visit Fredericksburg, TX yet, be sure to put it on your travel bucket list…and don’t forget to go during Trade Days. The outdoor fresh air in Fredericksburg, TX, is hard to beat!
