Place a 10-in cast iron skillet in the oven to preheat at 350 degrees
In a medium bowl, stir together the berries, 1/2 cup of the sugar, coconut brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, lemon juice or wine, and nutmeg
Melt the butter in the skillet that's in the oven until browned around the edges and sizzling hot.
While the butter is melting, in a large bowl, mix together 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk just until combined. A few lumps left are okay.
Pour batter into the hot skillet; do not stir. Immediately pour the berry mixture over the batter.
Bake 30-35 minutes or until crust looks golden and crisp.
