Why Tiny House Living is Healthier

Why Tiny House Living is Healthier For You

After returning from camping in a tiny cabin, I’ve been thinking of why people choose to give up everything in the city to live in a house no bigger than the master bathroom they left behind.

Let’s just say if one abandons their high monthly mortgage, got rid of the ridiculously high energy bills, and stop paying for home phone service because who needs a home phone anyway, that right there would be less stressful on the pocketbook?

If you’re on the fence about picking up and living in a tiny house, then these ideas will push you to do it! You also do not have to travel far to find an area to set up your little home. It could be a few miles down the road, and you would still live close enough to your job.

No Large Bills in Tiny House Living

What bills could you possibly have living in a tiny house? Except for the land rent and a few other bills, you really won’t have much to payout. I know what you won’t have, and that’s a high mortgage, high electric bill, gas bill or water bill. You can use your cell phone and throw out that landline phone you purchased years ago. AND…if you get cold, you can add another blanket to your bed and put another log on the fire, as they say.

Healthier Food Choices

If living in a tiny house, chances are, you will live near water so you can catch and cook your meals. This is going to lead to better overall health, which could lead to a longer life! The benefits of eating smoked fish with berries instead of fried fish and chips don’t even have to be emphasized, of course, it is better for you!

Because you’re living in the great outdoors, you’re probably going to want to start a garden. When you are planning where to live, make sure there’s plenty of space to sow a garden. Herbs are great to grow in the garden and also great to start indoor; You can do that so easy with an herb garden complete kit.

More Activity and Exercise

Why Tiny House Living is Healthier

Tiny house living out in nowhere isn’t for everyone. But I’d say it’s much more for people who love the outdoors and who love to be outside more than inside. Naturally, you’re going to get more exercise because hey, gathering your food takes a lot of energy! And… with no Internet, TV, or video games to play, the chances of you sitting around all day would be nill. This will lead to weight loss over time and the building of lean muscles. Most of us could use a better diet and exercise program, and tiny house living is a lifestyle that forces you to be healthier.

Having a bike to ride around on is a great idea. Surely you’ll be able to find a nearby bike trail to ride on, but walking trails are a dime a dozen within the outdoor living. Enjoy them.

Living in Nature is Healthier

Wildlife, birds singing, the crackling of the fire always makes people happy. If you’re always happy and full of joy, you’re sure to live a longer life. Oh, I believe this so wholeheartedly.

Now, for the more adventurous soul, you’ll want to make sure you have the correct outdoor gear. A great way to make that happen is with the best-in-class gear from reputable companies. Nomadik Subscription boxes offer gear for outdoor enthusiasts and are what I would suggest.

More Heart Healthy

Tiny house living is healthier for all of us, yet most won’t do it. But, if you’re on the fence about actually living in the woods in a tiny house, then it’s going to be better for your heart, body, and soul. Not to mention, less stress, fewer junk foods, except for the occasional s’ mores, right? More exercise never hurts anyone.

Now, are you convinced why tiny house living is healthier for you? Be sure to look up tiny house living tips. I’m sure you’ll find many on the internet.
