Vacationing in the mountains is our favorite vacation. There’s so much to do for this little one. Today, I’m showing off our Vermejo Ranch Park family vacation – New Mexico TRUE.
Vermejo Ranch Park Family Vacation
When my husband is away on business, this is where he is for four months out of the year. Awesome, uh? When I visit, I usually drive halfway, which puts us in Amarillo, where Brody and I spend the night. Then we continue driving to Raton and up to the mountain. But this time we flew.
Brody likes to fly. I think next year we will take the Amtrak train so that he can experience all types of transportation.
My husband works in New Mexico for the company he works for here in Texas. Vermejo Park Ranch is owned by the billionaire Ted Turner, and it is a private hunting ranch and a very high-class ranch at that. It’s Elk country out here, and the Elk are enormous. Hunters come from all over the world to hunt here.
Brody and I visit my husband at least one time while he is here. If Brody weren’t in school, we would go more often. It’s nature at its best here, and it’s nothing to see Elk, Bison, deer, and sometimes black bear. I have seen a bear or two that startled me, but at the same time, got me excited to see more. Now, I’m hooked. All I want to do is explore and see a bear.
This spectacular view is right outside Tracy’s office – which is a barn.
There’s so much for Brody to do here, and being silly is undoubtedly one of them!
Until the next time, our Vermejo Ranch Park Family Vacation will stay on our minds.
