If you’ve wanted to dive right into the adventure of zip lining, the Palo Duro Canyon is the place to start. The Palo Duro Canyon Zip adventure is the way to experience it for the first time!

Palo Duro Canyon Zip Line Adventure
Palo Duro Canyon – located 20 miles south of Amarillo, TX. Brody and I met Tracy there, halfway between Raton, NM, and where we live in Texas. Instead of Tracy having to drive all the way home just for the weekend, we decided to meet in Amarillo. No plans were made, just hanging out and being together. We took a look at the brochures in front of the hotel and decided to go out to the Canyon. I did not tell Tracy I wanted to zip line because he was a little hesitant about it. Once we got there, I said, “we are zip lining today, and so is Brody.” Weeeeeheeee!! NOT…for Brody, that is.
Palo Duro Canyon: A Small Grand Canyon
Palo Duro Canyon zip line is 10 miles out of Canyon, TX. They say it’s a small Grand Canyon. The sky was beautiful and only 70 degrees. That’s perfect, seeing that I came from 90 something degrees. Like I said above, I knew I wanted to zip line but didn’t tell Tracy until we got there. He’s a little afraid of doing it and wouldn’t dare zip line in Montana last month. Anyway, we all three signed up for $25 each for us and only $5 for Brody since he would ride with Tracy.

Taking the jeep to the zip line area. No problem, right. Brody kept saying he wasn’t going to do it, and we were not going to push him. We thought he’d like it since it bungee jumped every day on our trip to Big Sky, Montana last month.

So here we go…all geared up and ready to go, right???

Nope, not gonna have it. Brody didn’t want to. No biggie. The nice girl walked him back down with her. Still, our Palo Duro Canyon Zip adventure was a trip, and I loved it. My husband …not so much.

Good time – Tracy and I can now say we zip lined. AND I can mark that off my bucket list.

I can’t wait to do it again. Next time we go back to Montana, we are both going to take the plunge and zip there….and it’s much longer and much higher there!!

I've never been to Palo Duro, but isn't zip lining so much fun? This place looks amazing!
I'm impressed! I have a love hate relationship with the idea honestly.I'd love to try it but I would probably chicken out.
What beautiful scenery – that's looks like a great place to go ziplining! I don't blame Brody for not wanting to go, I went ziplining for the first time a few months back and I was SO scared at first! I was so glad that I did it afterwards, and you do start to get used to it, but I definitely had sweaty palms on the first few runs! 😉
I want to give zip lining a try at some point. It looks like so much fun, and wow what an adventure.
I so want to try the one up in Whitefish. I would do it in a heartbeat. It's a shame the little guy didn't go. Maybe when he's older
I have not done it, but I definitely would. Looks like a lot of fun. Congrats on doing it!
So impressed you did it! I am such a chicken! I bet I would enjoy it after I got up there and saw how beautiful it was.
