Meet Cyndi & Cody – Our Adopted Puppies!

February 12, 2015 Kim Croisant 7 Comments

I had no idea I’d fall in love so quickly. After losing our last dog, Sam Sam we waited seven or so months before even thinking about getting new puppies. The house was just too quite, so we decided it was time to start looking for small paws to love. Meet Cyndi & Cody – Our Adopted Puppies!!

I pretty much fell in love the minute I held them both.

Everyone knows rescue puppies or rescue dogs need more love than a store-bought dog. I fell in love with all the dogs the Tzu Zoo Rescue group had and knew I wanted to give one some love.

Meet Cyndi & Cody – Our Adopted Puppies!

Shortly after filling out the adoption papers with Tzu Zoo Rescue group I received an email about these two. My very first thought was – “I want them both – but would my husband want them both.” Since they are puppies, they didn’t have to be adopted together, but just look at them – I could never have split them up! So I didn’t. So glad my husband felt the same way as me.

They are happy as can be laying on our leather couch. No chewing now!!

I got my Valentine’s Day present early. Brody loves them too. We are now, once again, a family with dogs – in other words – a complete family.

INSERT>>>>So glad we adopted them both. Turns out they were more like 5 or 6 months old. You never want to separate two puppies they have been together that long. One more thing…and a big one. We adopted them from a rescue group that houses many Shiz tus and thus they told us Cissy and Cody were half Shiz tu and half Yorkie. Turns out they got the Yorkie part right, but they are half Havanese and not a lick of Shiz tu in them.

Since this post, we have a new puppy. His name is Jett Black. I’ve started a series on new puppies, called NEW PUPPY HANDBOOK.

With those eyes you were doomed to have to take them both. 🙂 We are also in that stage of thinking about a new pet. I still struggle with the loss of my girl but the kids are ready.
