Fun times at Margaritaville Resort Lake Conroe, Texas, for everyone!

Where else can you and your family play in the sun, eat, swim, and walk barefoot while listening to music? No other than Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Resort Lake Conroe in the Lone Star State! After all, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere!!

Conroe, TX is located north of Houston, about 45 minutes south of Dallas, about a 3-hour drive, and a couple of hours from Baton Rouge, LA. I can’t tell you how often my family drove to Houston to visit family during the holidays and special occasions, only to pass through Conroe and The Woodlands and never stop. My parents didn’t know what they were missing. However, to their defense, Conroe didn’t offer much back in the ’90s, but as time passed, the city grew. I’m shocked at all the beautiful things we passed up. I’m so excited I finally got to see the town.

I stayed at the Margaritaville Resort for two days, and the minute I arrived, I put myself in the Margaritaville state of mind and had a good time. That’s what Jimmy would have wanted – right!!

I was hosted and compensated by Visit Conroe.

Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe

An island vibe has never looked so good! If relaxing lakeside, by the many outdoor pools, or perhaps in a hot tub, or hanging out in the lazy river is your ideal vacation, you need to check out the new Margaritaville Resort. From hotel rooms with a comfy king bed to cozy lake cottages to luxury suites, you’ve got some choices, and did I mention those waterfront cottages on the shores of Lake Conroe are the cutest! You’ll never need to leave the resort unless you want to. Everything you and your family can think of is at your fingertips at the resort, including a golf course, spa, tennis courts, arcade, miniature golf course, sandy beaches, and more. If you’re not a resort guest but want to explore some activities, purchase a Paradise Pass Day Pass.

Also, you do not have to be a guest of the resort to eat at the restaurants, reserve a spa date or play a round of golf – it’s for everyone!

St. Somewhere Spa

The spa is located at the resort and is a lovely walk through the resort from the hotel. Men and women can enjoy a relaxed time with a massage and time in the sauna. May I suggest the deep tissue massage? I left there renewed! The spa is open to the public as well.

Einstein’s Surf & Boat Shop & Rentals

I spent a couple of hours on the water riding in a boat driven by Captain Mary from Einstein’s Ship Store|Boat Rentals. We had a great time between her and my stories of growing up on lakes and laughed – a lot. The weather was perfect, and the views were even better. Einstein’s is located at the resort by the water and is open to the public. Guests and non-guests can rent watercraft, including boats of all sizes, cruisers, party barges, pedal boats, kayaks & jet skis. There are even boat slips to rent for your watercraft.

LandShark Bar & Grill

LandShark Bar & Grill is located at the Golf Club and is open to the public. I ordered the blackened Mahi fish tacos and a margarita and enjoyed it out on the back patio with a lake view. The waiter was very knowledgeable and helped me make my final decision – and no disappointment from this girl. Plus, the margarita I ordered topped off my meal in a good way! But my dinner out on the porch with a lake view made it all worthwhile.

License To Chill

I enjoy a casual dinner and drinks at the bar, but dining in the restaurant or outside is great too. Whenever I travel alone, I eat at the bar. The bartender knew Conroe and the Houston area – you can’t beat first-hand knowledge from a local.

More Things To Do In Conroe here!

The Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe should be on everyone’s list to visit this summer. However, I went in November and enjoyed it all very much. You can learn more about the spa, the restaurants, and everything the resort offers here – Margaritaville Resort Lake Conroe.
