There’s so much to love about this time of year, and traditions can still happen despite what the world is going through right now. Our Christmas tradition at the Gaylord Texan has once again happened for us. My son and I had the pleasure of spending a weekend at the Gaylord Texan because of a contest I won last year. I wanted to save my weekend for Gaylord Texan 2020 I Love Christmas Movies. Although we didn’t’ know ICE wasn’t going to be there this year, we were still mesmerized by what was there this year. Read on.
Gaylord Texan 2020 I Love Christmas Movies
I absolutely love the Gaylord Texan at Christmastime. It never gets old. They decorate the hotel so nicely each year, and each year it amazes me as I’ve never been there before. Here is our view of our hotel balcony. I do love being a Gaylord Texan Blogger, and something I never take for granted. I don’t think Brody realizes how lucky he is.
I’ll let the pictures tell the story!

I Love Christmas Movies
I don’t want to spoil it for you, but the walk-through was a hit, especially with my son. He’ll never forget that he was asked to turn on the lights in one of the rooms by an attendant.
If you like old traditional Christmas movies, chances are you’ll love reminiscing all the while you’re walking through each room of favorite scenes from these movies. Think A Christmas Story and Elf, and Lampoon’s Christmas, to name a few.
Check out the leg lamp on my IG feed. You remember that scene in A Christmas Story, don’t you? One of the all-time funniest scenes ever!
Not sure what movie scene this is, but the photo is one of my favorites from the evening.

Build-A-Bear At Gaylord Texan 2020
Not only is going to Gaylord Texan during the holidays a family tradition, but there are also a few activities we do every year too. I’m so glad my son still likes stuffed animals. Because so, stuffing an animal at the Build-A-Bear station is one of our traditions. I’m just wondering if he will still want to stuff one next year when he’s almost twelve years old. We shall see.
Gaylord Texan 2020 Decorate Gingerbread Family
So, we have a few traditions that we do at the Gaylord during the holidays. Decorate the gingerbread family is another one. I’m also wondering if he will still want to do this next year. You know how kids are – they grow up so fast.
Gaylord Texan 2020 Ice Skating
And, no way is this a tradition. Not for me, anyway. I think I spent most of the time either sitting on skating buddy or behind it than I did skating around the rink. Brody skating last year with his friends and love it. Not so much this year, because his momma was in distress – ha!
Brody and I happened upon the cutest animals in the Atrim. I didn’t know they would be there, but I finally got to see a sloth in person. Isn’t she a doll?
Before our fun weekend, we got to attend the Blogger night that the Gaylord Texan invited us to. It’s always a lovely time, and they feed us so well!! I even had some wine this time. Chastity and her son came along with us. It’s always nice when Brody has someone to play with.
That tall soldier said he’s been doing that since the first Gaylord Texan Lone Star Christmas!! He’s always a hoot.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my photos of our extraordinary night at Gaylord Texan 2020 I Love Christmas Movies. I saw where ICE! will be back next year, so you’ll want to stay tuned for that, as we are!
