My husband and I have spent the last six months updating our home to more of a cottage-style look. We still have a way to go, but now it’s Fall, and I’m currently decorating with front porch cottage fall decor. Decorating my home gives me a sense of wellness I cannot explain. I suppose I like newness in everything, especially in the front.
Fall is in the air…somewhere! Here in Texas, it’s still 90 something degrees, but I know fresh, brisk air is coming. By the time the official day of Autumn rolls around, which WAS September 22nd, I’m more than ready to put out my Fall decor. Fall is undoubtedly the best season of the year. Don’t you think so?
Front Porch Cottage Fall Decor
What’s your favorite outdoor Fall accent that’s a must-have for your front porch? Something you just have to have on your porch every year? No doubt, mine is a wreath hanging on our front door.
Part of turning our home into a cottage-style home is updating our front door. I finally got my dream front door. I’ve always wanted a real wood door, and now that we have it, it almost completes our house. I love hanging a wreath on it to show the spirit of the season.
Oh, and by the way, I call my house the Sweet Corner Cottage because well, I’ve been told many times how “sweet and charming” our house is, and the fact that we live on a corner. So there you go – this old home of ours is forever getting updated. I would love for you to follow my Instagram – https://instagram.com/sweetcornercottage. Now and then I post decor photos about my house. Sometimes I even post beautiful potted flowers that I’ve placed on my front porch.
Like I mentioned above, we are nowhere near finished updating and upgrading our house. We are working inside and out. As we all know that cost money, so we have to do a little at a time. But our front porch cottage fall decor is the best, and I love it.
There are so many Fall wreaths to choose from – for all styles. I finally made up my mind and went with this beautiful August Grove 20″ Wreath that’s adorned with bright orange flowers and accented with delicate daisies. This wreath tells a story of Fall, don’t you think?
No matter where you place your Fall wreaths, it makes the best decor for any house.
Fall-colored flowers are a must. I spotted these coneflower perennials the other day and planted them in my front yard flower bed. Coneflowers come back each year, so I’ll be able to enjoy them every year.
Don’t forget a Pumpkin Patch sign!
Happy Fall. Decorating!
