Farm Life in Keller Texas
Brody’s favorite animal…the goat! It was mine too. There were three baby goats, and two of them tried to hop the fence when Brody started to pet them. They sure loved the attention of my son. Homestead Farms in Keller, TX, is own and run by a small family. Anyone can go there to see the animals and walk around the farm. They have a small store filled with organic produce, goat’s milk and cheese, honey, nuts, meat, and of course, pumpkins in the fall.
UPDATE: They may have changed their name a time or two, but hopefully, they are still around. I know many loved their goat milk and they sold out every day.
In the fall Homestead Farms offers hayrides for just $1 a person. They also provide some farm life course for kids. You’ll have to go to their website to find out more. We love to go out there on the spur of the moment to see the animals, and if there are any new ones.

Best picture ever! Brody and I had a great day on the farm. We both learned a little bit about pigs.
Petting this pig was the funny part. Brody didn’t know what to think of this pig. You should have seen him trying to touch it; he thought it was yucky!! Well, they are, aren’t they?
Here’s the tractor for hayrides. The driver takes you all around the farm. We saw all the goats, a donkey or two, a horse, beehives, and passed those yucky pigs again on our way back! Best two dollars I ever spent.
Farm Life in Keller is now 3F Ranch – It looks like they closed their farm in Keller. We will surely miss it. This site is closed. Try going here for information on goat milk in Keller
