Here’s a super easy step-by-step recyclable papercraft using standard size K-Cups and toilet paper rolls. This craft using K-cups and toilet paper rolls is suitable for any occasion. I used them for a “Thank You” favor.
Craft Using K-cups and Toilet Paper Rolls
I’m having an open house for my new garden room and wanted to make something to give out to attendees. I will serve coffee and some treats. I’ve also made these adorable recyclable K-Cup® pods party “Thank You” favors to give out to each guest. Step-by-step instructions are below to make these.
Do you think your guests would love to receive one of these recyclable K-Cup® pods, thank you party favors as a thank you for coming gift? Doesn’t everyone drink coffee that you know? But seriously, I don’t know one person who doesn’t own a Keurig® by now.
I hope you find this craft fun to make. Start collecting toilet paper rolls now! I’m just downright excited that the K-Cup® pods fit inside the ends.
Craft Using K-cups and Toilet Paper Rolls Instructions
Supplies you will need:
- 6-9 Toilet tissue rolls (same size) – start collecting now!
- Several different colors of matching card stock
- A “Thank You” stamp
- Two-sided tape
- Black ink pad
- Washi tape
- 12-18 K-Cup Pods (2 for each for the Thank You holder)
- Gift tag (make one for a pattern or purchase)
- String or ribbon
- Hole punch
- Paper cutter (if you have one)
Cut cardstock the width of the roll. For the length, make sure the end overlaps onto the other side of the cardstock. Place 4 or 5 strips of 2-sided tape lengthwise on the roll. Peel 2-sided tape off (if you’re using this kind of tape), then very carefully place the roll on the backside of cardstock and start rolling the roll, making sure the cardstock stays straight, on the card stock to the end. Place 1 or 2 strips of 2-sided tape on the end of cardstock and adhere.
First, to hide the line on the roll from overlapping of cardstock, put a strip of cute & matching washi tape over it lengthwise. Or, you can use a piece of different colored card stock. I love using washi tape, so anytime I get a chance to use it, I do. Now take a long piece of string and go around the roll several times and tie a knot.
K-cups and Toilet Paper Rolls Craft Project
Cut out your tag. I used a price tag that is shaped just like a gift tag. It’s effortless to make one. The size of these I used is 1-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ and all you do is cut the top sides off at an angle, then punch a hole at the top. Next, open up your stamp pad, ink up your stamp (which is found at any craft store), and stamp your tag. Last, stick on the side of the string in the hole and tie into a bow.
Take two K-Cups and put one at each end of the decorate tissue roll and gently push in. The pods fit perfectly!!
I hope you enjoy making these Recyclable K-Cup®Pods Party Thank You Favors. If you have any questions about the steps, please leave me a comment.
