It was love at first sight! When I got off the airplane and walked into the Bozeman, MT airport, I knew I was going to love our Big Sky Montana Summer Vacation. Their airport looked like a museum – all decorated with logs and elk horns and even a bear! My husband was in heaven, and my son was just glad to be there after our 2-day ordeal with Frontier Airlines finally. We ended up flying Alaskan Air, and it took a much longer time to get there.
Big Sky Montana Summer Vacation
Upon entering a state we’ve never been to, we were elated that we got to drive this impressive vehicle the whole nine days. Again…my husband was on cloud 9!
We arrived at our final destination late in the day, so we had very little time to do anything. But we did manage to have dinner and a swim…my son’s favorite thing to do!!

We never complained about the food in Montana. Everything was good! Believe it or not, the prices weren’t bad either. Below is our view from the room. We got to look out each morning to this. One morning I saw a fox running across the path, and another morning I saw two deer run up the hill into the woods. I love to see and watch wildlife do what they do. It’s one of my favorite things about going to places like this. If you’ve read my Alaska trips, you’ll know how much I love nature and wildlife.
Below is me sitting in one of the leather chairs in the lounge of the Big Sky Resort. Sure would like one of those chairs in my home! Everything at this Resort was top class. Thanks to a friend for letting us stay at his place.
Big Sky Montana Summer Vacation – Day 2
Bungee Jumping was the bomb today. I think we spent over $100 bucks letting Brody bungee jump for the entire trip. This activity was a favorite activity, aside from swimming. I know, I know…he could do this at home too and for much less!! Bungee jumping in the mountains is one thing not to pass up!
Here’s Brody on the Swing. Look how high they took him up!! I panicked at the height of this swing – even the audience was shocked that they took him up this high. But, hey look at the last picture – he loved it – however, he did not want to do it again.
Brody was not going to have the rock climbing. This is as far as he wanted to go.
On the way to dinner, I saw Jack Hanna at a convenience store. It didn’t dawn on me to ask him for a photo of him and me!! Everyone knows who Jack Hanna is, right? He’s the wildlife guy on TV. He’s been on many shows featuring exotic animals.
We took a day off from Big Sky and spent it at Yellowstone National Park.
