Having FUN at Beautiful Myrtle Beach

March 24, 2014 Kim Croisant 5 Comments

We knew there was rain in the forecast for our entire stay. However, we would not let a little rain stop us from having FUN in Beautiful Myrtle Beach. Since when does a little rain stop anyone from having a good time? Plus, our son got to enter the cockpit on the plane!

We had reservations for three that were reserved just for us! It was a short trip because…well, I got a good deal on a hotel through Hilton Grand Vacations, and we used our air miles to get there. Also, my thought was that the whole trip could be an experience for Brody – starting from the airplane ride to all the transportation rides we took to get us from one terminal to another, and not to mention the bus ride that brought us to the airport. This ride was his first experience that he’ll remember and that we will document. I mean… look what Brody got to experience! It’s a win-win trip in my eyes.

So, how did we enjoy our rainy Myrtle Beach trip? We went to Ripley’s Aquarium and played with the sharks!

All three of us had fun. Brody, of course, was enthralled with the sharks. He liked him; he didn’t like them, he wanted to like them, but mostly he didn’t like them – they were too scary!! Here’s my husband’s favorite part. I think we went back to this area three different times while we were at the Aquarium. Everyone was talking about how their hands felt afterward and were wishing they could put their feet in there too!

Tracy and Brody spent a lot of time at the indoor pool. My husband was able to teach Brody a little more on how to swim and got to spend some one on one with him.

There’s a lot to do at Myrtle Beach. Going to the beach is just part of what you can do there. We would love to go back again to spend more time and oo at a better time of the year. March is not the time to go there as it’s still considered their winter months. A few restaurants were even closed. But, as I said, I got a good deal on a hotel for two nights and didn’t want to pass it up.

Activities To Do In Myrtle Beach

  • Planet Hollywood
  • Pirate’s Cove
  • Medieval Times
  • Hard Rock Cafe
  • Tons of putt-putt golf places there
  • All kinds of restaurant you could imagine was on Hwy 17
  • Three or four different Ripley’s places to visit
  • A Ferris Wheel
  • Boardwalk
  • Easy access to the beach area
  • and more

Myrtle Beach is a beautiful place to visit at the right time. Of course, the hotel room will be way more expensive, but the best part of our trip was that we scored a seven nights vacation at Disney World for 2015. Yeah!!

We managed to get in a walk down to the beach before heading to the airport. On our way, I said, “we’ve got to see the beach at least and touch the water” – so that’s what we did. Jackets and all – I was determined to show Brody the water where sharks live.

That turtle was by far the best six bucks we’d ever spent. Turtle went everywhere with Brody. We are certainly having FUN at Beautiful Myrtle Beach.

So, all in all, Myrtle Beach is a great place to spend a vacation with the whole family. I am putting Myrtle Beach back on my bucket list to visit again…in the summer!
