My 8-year-old son just finished up a week-long STEM camp over spring break. He had so much fun that I thought I’d share a few of the projects he did and maybe your kids would like to do a few at home. Challenge your kids this spring and summer with these 15 Incredible STEM Activities for Indoors.
15 Incredible STEM Activities for Indoors
A few of the projects my son got to do at the camp were pretty unbelievable. I was amazed every time I picked him up at the end of the day. Most importantly, he was so proud of the things he made and couldn’t wait to show me.
He learned what household products were biodegradable and which ones were not. They experimented with an egg by putting it inside different household cleaners, like vinegar. After the day was done, the kids got to dig for dinosaur bones while they waited on their parents to pick them up. At least, that’s where I found my son each day.
As a result, for the amount of money we spent on the camp, it was well worth it.
If you ever get the chance to send your kids to a STEM camp – do it! If that’s not in the budget or your plans, then the below projects can be done at home. Some, if not all require adult supervision, and most are done indoors with a few being outdoors. Let’s Go!
